2009 saw the fifth running of the annual TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards. The awards ceremony was held at the Wrest Point Casino on October 17th. Designed to recognise the hard work of well managed organisations the TACC Castrol Motor Industry Awards showcase TACC members who have strong business plans, positive relationships with staff and goals for their future. The awards were divided into the major categories of the Motor Industry and judged by TACC on a strict criteria.

The Mechanical Repairer of the year is a hotly contested category, and this year saw the introduction of the Small Mechanical Repairer category, to give smaller neigbourhood workshops a chance to enter the awards on an even level. The night was very successful, with some 330 guests in attendance. The awards winners this year are listed below:
