TACC members are provided with a range of services covering the key industrial issues and legal obligations - both Government and statutory - for employers in the retail automotive industry. They also have access to specialised technical advice and assistance; to recruitment and training services; can call upon the personal attention of TACC Area Managers; and, through TACC's Divisions and Specialist Categories, receive regular advice and information specific to their industry sector. Through these and other key services, TACC members have the committed support of a professional organisation which strives sincerely to respond to their needs and offer the support they seek.

Industrial Relations

TACC Industrial Relations Department provides a complete Industrial Relations Service. Are you paying the right wages? Have you attended to your OH&S obligations? Are you at risk of litigation? The Industrial Relations Department provides TACC members with over-the-phone and face-to-face advice, information and assistance, including representation, on these and other matters such as:

  • Unfair dismissals
  • Recruitment procedures
  • Wage Rates and Award interpretation
  • Contracts of employment
  • Workplace policies
  • WorkCover claims
  • OH&S obligations and compliance
  • IR UPDATE monthly newsletter

Technical Services

Technical call centre

Through its Technical Call Centre, TACC's Technical Services Department provides TACC members with prompt and accurate technical information across the various sectors of the Automotive Industry.

The Call Centre is staffed by expert, highly qualified and trained Technical Advisers backed up by the largest and most comprehensive technical library in the Southern Hemisphere. Technical Publications

TACC's Technical Department produces Tech Talk which is supplied to TACC members as part of their annual membership subscription. A highly regarded publication, Tech Talk is a monthly journal of technical articles, repair information, fault diagnosis, information on industry trends and innovations and handy hints and tips for automotive repairers. Members are able to purchase back issues of Tech Talk in convenient yearly annuals by contacting TACC on (03) 6278 1611 or e-mail at enquiries@tacc.com.au.

Auto-Tech Encylopedia

Repco AutoTech CD, a new product offering from the Tacc contains a comprehensive and detailed store of diagnostic procedures and service information covering popular vehicles sold in Australia. In a world of increasingly complex cars and increasing numbers of models and makes, access to technical repair information and diagnostic procedures is an essential workshop tool.TACC is pleased to be able to offer this product to members at a very competitive price.

Stationery Department

TACC's Stationery Department provides a comprehensive range of industry-specific stationery items, office supplies and trade technical manuals at a special member-only price for TACC members.

The service is also available for non-members but at non-subsidised rates. Items available include: job cards, authority to repair forms, roadworthy checklist, repair register forms, contract for sales of second-hand goods, TACC flags and signs, and time and wages records among a range of useful forms, booklets and promotional items. Employment Education & Training Services

In conjunction with VACC college, and depending on demand, TACC is able to provide members with extra training on-line. This training can be anything from extra trade qualification to business administration.

The TACC Group Apprenticeship Scheme also operates from the Employment Education and Training Department.
