As a "duty of care" for all your staff and customers it is your responsibility to provide safe systems of work,  a safe working environment, and plant and equipment maintained in a safe condition.

This includes testing of all electrical equipment in your business, and keeping a register of regular testing of electrical equipment for a period of no less than 7 years.

Many business owners are simply not aware of their legal obligation in this area.
