The TACC Roadside Help program was established in 2004 as a promotional tool for participating TACC Accredited Repairers as a reward for their loyal customers.

The program has been operating very successfully with 68 Accredited Repairers contracted statewide to participate and since its inception, 56,850 certificates have been issued with 1,917 consumers assisted with roadside help.

As a valued customer of a participating Accredited Repairer, TACC Roadside Help is free of charge when you have your vehicle serviced.  Please enquire when booking your vehicle in for service.

This certificate entitles you to the following roadside services for a maximum period of six months:

  • A jump-start if the battery is flat.
  • Fitting of the spare tyre or a tow to the issuer of the certificate in the case of a flat tyre.
  • Provision of a small amount of fuel if you run out of fuel on the road.  The customer is to pay the cost of the fuel.
  • If broken down, towing of the vehicle, for a maximum of 25 klms, to the workshop of the Accredited Repairer who issued the certificate.

If you have a current certificate and need one of the above services, just call the TACC call centre and a tow truck will be despatched immediately.
